Background

Born in The Netherlands, raised in Belgium, and educated in both countries, Robert started his career in consumer product marketing. He took on executive roles with leading global corporations in consumer durables, automotive and retail. In his search for more fulfillment, he also held leadership positions in nonprofit. He worked across Europe, with a particular focus on Benelux and CSE, and he lived in Belgium, UK, Italy, Czechia, USA, Serbia and The Netherlands. Robert holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and completed executive education in change management, digital strategies (Kellogg), and strategic leadership (Harvard Kennedy School). In 2025 he completed the non-executive / supervisory board course at Nyenrode. He enjoys cooking, hiking, nature, and urban photography. Robert lives in The Hague and is available for both NL and Internationally based assignments. He has a flexible approach to commuting and working abroad.

EXPERIENCE & ADDED VALUE

Robert mentored and advised entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders. This unique combination of profit and nonprofit requires different perspectives on people and impact. It made him culturally sensitive and sharpened his change management and organizational development skills. Robert repositioned brands, developed new products and retail formats. He successfully launched fundraising platforms and worked on various go-to-market strategies and tactics. He led organizational and financial turnarounds leading to quantifiable and sustainable income, market share and efficiency gains in the face of changing market dynamics. This variety in background enables him to familiarize fast with new organizations, markets, and challenges. More recently, Robert joined the board of Stichting PC Hooft (funeral services) and the Advisory Board of Umon (employment services).

Building on his international career as an executive in both profit and nonprofit, Robert now works as (interim) executive and trusted advisor. He realizes tangible and sustainable improvement in the area of business management and connecting strategy to organizational design. He creates oversight and leads and supports teams to develop an actionable business strategy. Especially in times of (international) scale-up and leadership vacuum. As of 2021 Robert has been an interim manager and personal advisor to the CEO and founder of CTP, Europe's largest stock listed developer and operator of industrial and logistics real estate. This position covered strategy development, organizational design, operational planning, and leadership development & mentoring across CEE and The Balkans. In 2024 Robert joined Talent Sourcing Partner in Amsterdam as business strategist and more recently as their interim managing director, focusing on implementing a business transformation and growth strategy.
